Silas PU College Udupi holds installation ceremony to welcome new principal Dr George

Udupi, Mar 31: Silas PU College Udupi held a grand ceremony to install and welcome its new principal Dr George, on March 31.

Deirdra S Maben, the educational director of Crystal Education Trust, was the chief guest at the ceremony.
In her address, she emphasised the transformative power of teachers, urging them to embrace creativity and adapt to changing times.

"Teachers must unlock their creativity, and it is the honest teachers who are the foundational pillars of any institution," Deirdra S Maben stated.

The newly appointed principal, Dr George, took the stage after officially assuming his role. He acknowledged the pivotal role of teachers in shaping the future of thousands of students and asserted that teaching is the most important profession.

“Through the guidance of teachers, students shape their future. The teaching profession is more significant than any other career,” Dr George remarked.

The event also featured a formal handover of responsibilities. Santosh Maben, vice president of the institution, handed over the principal’s duties to Dr George and encouraged him to lead the college toward further development. He expressed his confidence that under Dr George's leadership, the college would scale new heights.

Poornima welcomed the gathering. Rohan delivered the vote of thanks. Lecturer Naveen compered the event.

The ceremony was attended by Jacinta D Costa, principal of Silas International School, Dr Rabhi Putiran, educational advisor, and lecturer Ranjan.
