PhD awarded to Pramila Rita D'Souza of St Joseph’s Engineering College

Mangaluru, Mar 31: Pramila Rita D’Souza (nee Braggs), assistant professor, department of chemistry, St Joseph’s Engineering College, Vamanjoor has been awarded the degree of 'Doctor of Philosophy' on March 8 for her thesis 'A Study of Sulfonamide Derivatives as Corrosion Inhibitors on Mild Steel in Hydrochloric Acid Medium' by Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belagavi.

She was successfully guided by Dr K Jyothi, a professor and head, department of chemistry, St Joseph’s Engineering College, Vamanjoor, Mangaluru.

Pramila is an alumni of St Agnes College completing her bachelor in science and did her post graduation at Mangalore University in physical chemistry. She previously represented Karnataka and Goa Directorate during Republic Day NCC Camp 1996 at Delhi and had the privilege to march at Rajpath (Kartavya Path) saluting the President of India.

She is the proud daughter of the late Jerome Braggs and Benedicta Braggs (Cordel parish), wife of Royston D'Souza (Angelore Parish) and mother of Sean and Sam D'Souza.
