Udupi, Apr 2: “Akram is having connections with banned PFI and there are chances that he might use Zeena for illegal activities of the organization,” alleged Sunil K R, Vishwa Hindu Parishad leader in Udupi on Wednesday, April 2.
Addressing a press conference in Udupi on the alleged kidnapping case of Zeena, a college girl of Udupi native, Sunil K R said, “We had visited the family of the girl and spoke with her parents. The parents have alleged that the accused had taken nude photographs of girl. A POCSO case was also registered. It is a planned kidnap. The girls who have been kidnapped in this manner have been put to work in illegal activities. We urge the police department to take stringent action in the case. Akram is very much active in the drug links and also a member of the Garuda gang. The case should be investigated by the National Investigation Agency (NIA)."

Dr Naveen Ammanna, leader of Protestants Youth Association speaking with the media said, “This is a case of brainwashing. We request the police department for a thorough investigation in the matter. As no organization of our community supported the cause, we approached the Vishwa Hindu Parishad and they supported us. She should be brought in front of her parents without any further delay."
Members of Vishwa Hindu Parishad and Protestants Youth Association were present during the press conference.
