New Delhi, Apr 4: Indian boxers Manish Kumar, Hitesh Singh, and Abhinash Dutta have advanced to the semifinals of the ongoing World Boxing Cup, delivering stellar performances that have raised hopes of medal wins for the country.
Manish Kumar, competing in the lightweight category, showcased exceptional agility and precision to secure a unanimous victory against his opponent from Kazakhstan. Hitesh Singh, known for his powerful punches in the welterweight category, dominated his bout against a formidable Cuban boxer, earning praise from coaches and fans alike.
Abhinash Dutta, competing in the bantamweight division, demonstrated remarkable resilience as he overcame a tough challenge from his Ukrainian opponent in a closely fought contest. His victory was sealed with a split decision in his favour.
Indian boxing enthusiasts are eagerly awaiting the semifinals, hoping the trio will continue their impressive run. National Boxing Coach Rajesh Mehra, while speaking, expressed confidence in their abilities. “They have trained hard, and their dedication is reflecting in their performances.
