Ullal, Apr 7: The Congress-led government in Karnataka has been accused by the BJP of exploiting the people, calling it a "pick-pocket government." BJP Mangaluru Mandal president Jagadish Alva Kuvettabail shared that around 3,000 people are expected to participate in the 'Janakrosha Yatra' (People's Outrage March) organized by the BJP in Mangaluru on April 9.
Speaking at a press conference at the Press Club on Monday, April 7, Alva said that the people are suffering due to the rise in prices under chief minister Siddaramaiah's government. Voters who once supported the government are now regretting their decision, he added. He criticized the Congress government for being embroiled in corruption, scams, and for the tragic incidents involving the suicides of farmers, activists, and opposition workers. Alva also condemned the government's involvement in love jihad, pro-Pakistan slogans, and anti-Hindu statements. He said the government is only known for price hikes, corruption, and violence.

He also pointed out that milk prices have been raised for the third consecutive time, yet milk producers have not received any incentives in the past five months. He accused the Siddaramaiah-DK Shivakumar duo of raising fuel prices twice in the state, even after criticizing the central government for the same. Other price hikes include a fivefold increase in stamp paper fees, tenfold hikes in birth and death certificate fees, and a doubling of electricity rates, all of which add to the daily struggles of common people, he said.
Dakshina Kannada BJP spokesperson Mohan Raj K R also addressed the issue, stating that the Congress government in Karnataka has been continuously increasing prices, creating a dire situation for the people. He added that the BJP is organizing a 'Janakrosha Yatra' across the state to oppose the people's anti-government rule. In the Dakshina Kannada district, a massive rally will take place on April 9 at 3:00 PM, led by BJP state president B Y Vijayendra. The rally will begin at Dr B R Ambedkar Circle and proceed towards Purabhavan in Mangaluru.
BJP Mangaluru Mandal vice president Ravi Shankar Someshwar, Mangaluru Mandal general secretary Dayanand Tokkotu, and Mangaluru Mandal secretary Jeevan Kumar Tokkotu were also present at the event.
