Mangaluru, April 8: A remarkable achievement by Expert PU College, Mangaluru, has seen 33 of its students secure places in the top 10 ranks of the state in the second PUC Board examination.
Among the standout performers, Amoolya Kamath has emerged as the state topper in the science stream, scoring an impressive 599 marks out of 600. She achieved a perfect score of 100 in each of her five subjects.
Shreya S, also from the college, secured third place with 597 marks, while Shadjai A P claimed the fourth spot with 596 marks.

The fifth rank was shared by Dhanyatha Gowda K, Vachana Allamaprabhu Bagodi, Chinmayi R, and U Rohan H Shenai, each scoring 595 marks. This outstanding achievement of 33 students securing positions in the top 10 is a historic milestone for the college.
Out of the 1,634 students who appeared for the examination, 10 students scored more than 99%, while 55 students achieved above 98%. A total of 138 students scored over 97%, 264 more than 96%, and 379 students above 95%.
In total, 966 students scored above 90%, 1,265 students achieved above 85%, and 1,429 students scored above 80%. Remarkably, 1,627 students passed in the first class.
In terms of subject-specific excellence, 7 students achieved 100 marks in four subjects, 37 students in three subjects, 158 students in two subjects, and 305 students in one subject.
Among these top scorers, 42 students achieved full marks in Physics, 62 in Chemistry, 212 in Biology, 192 in Mathematics, 5 in Computer Science, 4 in Electronics, 6 in Statistics, 2 in Home Science, 47 in Sanskrit, and 57 in Kannada.
Other notable toppers include Mallambika (594), Vismaya Hiremath (594), Preksha Avabhrata (594), Likhita K S (593), Pragati M D (592), Yashas Gowda H P (592), Sanika (592), Hanishka Shetty (592), Sharvari (592), Shreyan K (592), Avanish B (592), Kartikeya R Maiyya (592), Nutan Lokesh (591), and many others.
Among the students who scored 100 marks in four subjects are U Rohan H Shenai, Mallambika, Pragati M D, Hanishka Shetty, Karthikeya R Maiyya, and Heer Renish Dedakia.

The chairman of the institution, Prof Narendra L Nayak, along with the principal and all teaching and non-teaching staff, congratulated all the successful students.
