New Delhi, Apr 10: BJP MP Manoj Tiwari on Thursday applauded the Narendra Modi-led government for successfully extraditing Tahawwur Hussain Rana, a key accused in the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks, calling it a testament to India’s firm stance against terrorism and corruption.
Speaking extensiveley, Tiwari said, “India is fortunate to have a strong and visionary leader like Prime Minister Narendra Modi. His unwavering focus on national security and the welfare of the underprivileged continues to steer the country in the right direction. The 26/11 terror attack still pains every Indian, and the man behind it took refuge in the US.”

He credited the extradition to consistent diplomatic efforts led by Modi and supported under former US President Donald Trump's administration. “After years of pursuit, Rana's extradition is a huge victory. It reflects India’s growing global influence and the government’s resolve to bring every perpetrator of terrorism to justice,” he added.
Tiwari also addressed critics raising concerns about other fugitives. “Let’s not confuse terrorism with economic fugitives. In both cases, the government is taking serious action. Whether it’s Nirav Modi, Vijay Mallya, or Mehul Choksi — their assets are being confiscated and steps are being taken to bring them back,” he said.
Tahawwur Hussain Rana, a Canadian-American of Pakistani origin, was flown to New Delhi on a special chartered flight after exhausting all legal options in the US. He is one of India’s most wanted in connection with the 2008 Mumbai attacks that killed 166 people.
His extradition is being coordinated by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) along with the Research and Analysis Wing (RAW). Rana is expected to be presented before a Delhi court soon after his arrival.
