Karkala, Apr 10: Jnana Sudha Pre-University College, Karkala has once again showcased its academic excellence in the 2025 second PUC Examination-1 conducted by the Karnataka School Examination and Assessment Board. Students from both the Karkala and Udupi campuses have secured top ranks at the state and district levels, bringing pride to the institution.
In the Science stream, Aasthi S from the Karkala campus scored an impressive 596 marks, securing the 4th rank in the state and first rank in Udupi district. Adding to the college’s glory, Shree Raksha B Nayak, Vishwas R Athreyas, and Apoorv V Kumar from the Udupi campus scored 595 marks each, securing the 5th rank in the state and 2nd in the district. Several other students also performed remarkably well: Mayur M Gowda, Bhargav H Nayak, Vishnu G Nayak, and Shravya Wagle scored 594 marks; Harshita R H, Anvita Nayak, Vishwa R Nayak, and Sneha A Kamath from Udupi scored 593; Utsav C Patel, Sanjana Shenoy, Rachit J B, and Srushti scored 592; while Sarvajit K R and Dhanyashree R scored 591. Additionally, students Anushka G, Pranav N M, Shreyas K, Anvitha R Kamath, Sukruthi G Joshi, Tanisha Shetty, and Shrihari S G scored 590 marks, adding to the list of top scorers.


In the Commerce stream, Sahana Nayak and Tanvi Rao from the Karkala campus stood out by scoring 594 marks, earning them the 6th rank in the state and 2nd in the district. Raksha Ramachandra scored 591 marks, placing her 9th in the state and 5th in the district. Other notable achievers include Yashasvi Nayak and Sachin Suresh Shenoy with 589 marks each, and Khatija Tul Rafiya with 588 marks. Out of the 49 students who appeared for the Commerce examination, an impressive 45 students scored above 88%, reflecting the college’s strong academic performance.
Subject-wise, the highest marks achieved were as follows: Mathematics – 144, Biology – 113, Chemistry – 48, Physics – 27, Statistics – 20, Computer Science – 37, Basic Mathematics – 2, Accountancy – 7, Business Studies – 21, Sanskrit – 113, and Kannada – 4, making a total of 536 across subjects.
Dr Sudhakar Shetty, president of the Ajjarkar Padmagopal Education Trust, extended his heartfelt congratulations to all the high-achieving students and applauded their dedication and hard work. He also wished them continued success in their future academic and professional pursuits.
