Tel Aviv, Apr 11: In a major counter-terror breakthrough, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) on Thursday evening confirmed the elimination of 11 terrorists involved in the heinous October 7 cross-border assault. The announcement comes as part of the IDF and Shin Bet's coordinated counter-offensive, "Operation Strength and Sword," launched in March within the Gaza Strip.

Nine of the 11 individuals were neutralized during this high-intensity operation which began on March 18, 2025. These operatives played active roles in the brutal massacres, kidnappings, and attacks that unfolded on Israeli soil during the deadly October 7 incursion.

Among those killed:

  • Hassan Na'em, the mastermind behind the abduction of the late Sergeant Shaked Dahan
  • Ismail Shakash, who was directly involved in the killing of Israeli civilians and launched a surface-to-air missile at Israeli territory.
  • Jalal Qaraan, notorious for murdering Inbar Haiman and two other civilians during the Nova music festival attack. He further fueled outrage by distributing graphic videos of his crimes online.
  • Muhammad Issa, Muhammad Shabaki, Fares Karshin, Yahya Estal, and Muhammad Estal, all of whom breached Israeli borders and took part in various atrocities during the October 7 attacks.
  • Muhammad Tzakar, who stormed Kibbutz Nir Oz, taking part in the massacre there.

Additionally, two high-profile terrorists—Muhammad Atsfur, involved in the assault on the IDF Southern Brigade’s HQ, and Khaled Al-Din, implicated in civilian killings and occupying the home of victims Arik and Hodia Peretz—were eliminated in targeted strikes ahead of the larger Gaza operation.

The IDF has reaffirmed its commitment to hunting down perpetrators of the October 7 massacre, vowing that those responsible will not find refuge.
