Mangaluru, Apr 13: The calm of the morning was transformed into a symphony of sound and celebration as St Agnes School CBSE, in collaboration with Diamonds & Rust, Mangaluru’s own eclectic band presented an energetic live band concert at the Mother Aloysia Centenary Auditorium on March 29. The audience, made up of around 2025 enthusiastic students, included students from St Agnes School CBSE, postgraduate (PG) students, and students from the Kannada medium section. Their vibrant presence filled the auditorium with energy and enthusiasm, making the concert an unforgettable experience for all.
The highlight of the morning was the honouring of Kemril Pinto, an 11-year-old drumming prodigy and the youngest member of Diamonds & Rust. A student of St Agnes School since the academic year 2023–2024, Kemril began dedicated drumming practice only in August 2024, and in just a few short months, his progress has been extraordinary. His performance on stage reflected passion, discipline, and natural talent, leaving the audience in awe. His proud parents, Norbert and Smitha Pinto, were present to witness their son’s achievement being celebrated by the school community.


































In her address, Sr Maria Sarika AC, principal of St Agnes School CBSE, proudly acknowledged Kemril’s achievement and said: “Today, we are here to celebrate one such remarkable spark our very own drumming prodigy, Kemril Pinto. At just 11 years old, Kemril has not only discovered his passion but embraced it with extraordinary dedication, proving that talent, when nurtured with hard work and perseverance, can create magic.”
To celebrate his outstanding journey and contribution, Kemril was honoured by the school during the event. The honouring ceremony was gracefully read by Teacher Josephine, adding a heartfelt touch to the celebration and evoking thunderous applause from the audience.
The musical performance by Diamonds & Rust infused the morning with joy and energy. The band, featuring Rhea Jean Rodriguez and Anrin Tony on vocals, Glenen D’Souza on keyboard, Tarun Jain and Kemril Pinto on drums, Mayur Devadiga on saxophone and percussion, Hans Malcom D’Souza on lead guitar, and Hanson Reone Lasrado on bass guitar, delivered a captivating set that had students clapping, cheering, and completely immersed in the rhythm.
The gathering was warmly welcomed by teacher Daphney, who also enthusiastically compered the program and delivered the vote of thanks, expressing heartfelt appreciation to the band, the school management, and all those who made the event possible.To conclude the memorable morning, refreshments were served to all students, generously sponsored by the parents a gesture that added to the joy and hospitality of the celebration.
This concert not only showcased the transformative power of music but also celebrated the rising stars within the school, reminding every student that passion, when pursued with purpose, can indeed create magic.
