Abu Dhabi, Jan 19 (Media Release): India Social and Cultural Centre Abu Dhabi (ISC), the largest Socio – Cultural organization for the Indian community in the Middle East is proud to announce the commencement of the 35th ISC – APEX OPEN BADMINTON TOURNAMENT 2011 – 2012  at ISC starting from 6th February  till 26th February, 2012.

Ramesh Panicker, the Hon. President of ISC announced that this is the most prestigious sports event taking place at ISC, which attracts large number of sports enthusiasts from all communities to ISC to witness this popular event.

India Social & Cultural Centre is extremely pleased to have APEX Trading Co, a very reputed / leading business house from Abu Dhabi dealing in Industrial Tools & Products as the Main Sponsor for this prestigious event.

Also, it is indeed a great privilege for ISC to have the patronage of   UAE Exchange Co, one of the major Exchange Centers with a Global presence and Gray McKenzie & Partners, joining with us as Co-Sponsors for this tournament.

ISC facilitates its members with an array of sports activities such as Badminton, Squash, Tennis, Table Tennis, Snooker, Swimming pool, Health Club and Gymnasium catering to the requirements of over 8000 family members. India Social & Cultural Centre, Abu Dhabi is the largest recreational Centre in the Middle East for the Indian community established in the year 1967, spanning over an area of about 100,000 Sq. Ft. The Centre creates an effective platform for the Community to strengthen the age old bilateral Indo / - Arab Cultural relationship and Trade partnership.

The highlight of this privileged tournament is that this tournament is open for all players around the world without any restriction to their entries. This time we have already received the interest of participation by some of the world ranked players who have represented their countries in various international tournaments. Last year the tournament attracted very good participation of foreign players and for this edition of the tournament,   National players from Bahrain, Qatar, Malaysia, Srilanka and Europe are expected to participate to show their skills, talent and professionalism.  Accordingly huge number of entries are expected as the ISC Abu Dhabi open badminton tournament is now in the book of ‘hall of fame’.

The main objective of this Tournament, to inspire the spirit of the game irrespective of Nationalities and to bring them together under one roof at one and only India Social and Cultural Centre.  Ramesh Panicker further remarked that the overall participation is expected to reveal a show worthy of excellent skills combined with high endurance levels, and the goal to attain the championship under the roof of ISC, Abu Dhabi. It is indeed a great opportunity for all the Badminton lovers around U.A.E. to witness this big sporting event which will be starting on 06th Feb 2012 until 26th Feb 2012.

The badminton section in ISC Abu Dhabi itself has a strength of more than 700 members, utilizing the facility on a regular basis. The badminton courts in ISC are of International Standards and proud to publicize them as the best in G.C.C, without hesitation. The tournament offers attractive price money and Trophies to the winners.
