Grand launch of 'Besigegondu Chamara 2025' ignites week of learning for young students

Mangaluru, Apr 15: In a vibrant and inspiring start, the fifth edition of 'Besigegondu Chamara 2025', a free summer camp organized by Chamara Foundation (R) in collaboration with Hindu Vidyadayini Sangha, was inaugurated with great enthusiasm. This camp, exclusively curated for government school students, has drawn participation from over 100 children, all ready to immerse themselves in a week filled with creativity, learning, and fun.

The inauguration was graciously carried out by Yashas Shetty and Mamatha Y Shetty, proud parents of Yathish Y Shetty. The event was graced by the presence of renowned television actress Gauthami Jadhav, who was the chief guest. In a heartfelt address, she inspired the children to believe in themselves and to dream big, leaving a lasting impact with her emotionally powerful words.















The guest of honour for the event was Balachandra K, principal of Aided Hindu Vidyadayini High School, Surathkal. The ceremony was presided over by Rachana, managing trustee of Chamara Foundation. Special guests included Abhishek G Kasaragod, a noted cinematographer; Krishnamurthy G, retired principal of Govinda Dasa College; and Karan Acharya, celebrated artist known for his impactful creations.

A delightful highlight of the event was the anchoring by little Baby Charushi, whose charming and confident emceeing won everyone’s hearts. The guests were warmly welcomed by Manish K Salian, trustee of Chamara Foundation, and a formal vote of thanks was rendered by Rathan.

Post-inauguration, Abhishek G Kasaragod conducted a special session on 'Fundamentals of Filmmaking', offering the young minds a glimpse into the world of visual storytelling and cinema, which was both interactive and enlightening for the children.

The camp will continue till April 18, and will include art, theatre, games, personal development, and life skills training – all aimed at enhancing children's creativity, confidence, and self-expression. Eminent resource persons from various fields and popular personalities will continue to interact with the children throughout the camp.

'Besigegondu Chamara' stands as a beacon of hope and opportunity for young learners, bringing joy, knowledge, and memories that will last a lifetime.
