Rampur, Apr 17: An 11-year-old Dalit girl, who is both deaf and mute, has been subjected to a brutal rape in a village within the Rampur district of Uttar Pradesh. Police reports issued on Wednesday detailed the harrowing incident. The victim, who was reported missing on Tuesday evening, was discovered unconscious and in a severely distressed state in a nearby field on Wednesday morning. She was found naked and bleeding.

Following the discovery, her family was immediately alerted. The incident took place within the area covered by the Shahbad police station. Jaipal Singh, the Additional Superintendent of Police (Rural), stated that the girl was promptly taken to a medical facility, where her condition has since been stabilized.

A formal complaint has been registered in the form of a First Information Report (FIR), based on the survivor's account. To pursue the investigation and apprehend the perpetrator(s), the Superintendent of Police has established three dedicated investigative teams.
