Belagavi, Apr 20: In a bizarre and heartwarming twist during the SSLC answer paper evaluation process in Karnataka, a student's emotional plea accompanied by a Rs 500 note has gone viral, capturing the attention of educators and netizens alike.
The unusual incident was reported from a valuation centre in Chikkodi, Belagavi district, where evaluators stumbled upon a student’s heartfelt message in place of exam answers. The student, seemingly struggling with academics, chose an unconventional route to seek a passing mark — by appealing to the sentiments of the evaluators.

"Sir/Madam, I fall at your feet. My love is in your hands now. If I pass this paper, I’ll love her truly. Please make her mine. Use this Rs 500 for tea and kindly pass me,” read the note found alongside the currency.
The message, written in Kannada, has now gone viral on social media platforms. It also included a plea stating, “Please pass me, my parents won’t send me to college if I fail.”
Another answer sheet carried a message offering money upon passing the exam, reflecting the desperation and emotional vulnerability of students struggling with academic performance.
Teachers at the centre expressed concern over such trends, pointing to the rising pressure on students and the need for stronger academic and emotional support systems.
While such acts may seem amusing at first glance, educators warn that it underscores a deeper issue — the intense stress students face during exams.
The Karnataka SSLC results are expected to be announced soon. Meanwhile, the viral messages continue to spark conversation about exam stress, education reforms, and the lengths to which students go in pursuit of success.
