Kaup, April 21: In a tragic incident on Monday, April 21, in the morning, a passenger travelling on a KSRTC Airavata bus from Mumbai to Moodbidri via Udupi passed away while seated on the bus.
The deceased has been identified as Satya Bhandary, a 45-year-old resident of Kumta. He was found unresponsive in his seat as the bus neared Shirva. Upon discovering the situation, the KSRTC crew diverted the vehicle to the Government Primary Health Centre in Shirva and immediately shifted the passenger for medical attention.
However, he was declared dead upon arrival. His body has since been transported via ambulance to the Udupi District Hospital mortuary for further procedures.
Authorities have launched an investigation to determine the exact cause of death.
