Free diabetic foot, podiatry camp in Dr T M A Pai Hospital on April 24

Udupi, Apr 22: A free diabetic foot and podiatry camp will be conducted on Thursday, April 24, from 9:30 am to 4:30 pm, at Dr T M A Pai Hospital, Udupi. The camp is being organised in collaboration with the hospital’s department of Plastic Surgery, with the aim of raising awareness and providing early intervention for foot-related complications in diabetic patients.

The camp will offer a range of services including expert screening, comprehensive foot examinations, podiatry consultations, wound care guidance, and educational sessions on preventive foot care. These services are designed to help diabetic individuals manage their condition more effectively and avoid long-term complications such as foot ulcers and infections.

Speaking about the initiative, Dr Shashikiran Umakanth, medical superintendent of Dr T M A Pai Hospital, stated that consultations will be provided free of cost, while diagnostic investigations will be available at a 20% discount, valid until May 15.
