Mangalore: Maharaja of Travancore Visits Kadri Temple, Ace Musician Offers Gift

Mangalore, Jan 19: Padmanabhadas Uthradam Thirunal Marthanda Varma Maharaj (Maharaja of Travancore) of Kerala's famous Shree Anantha Padmanabhaswamy Temple visited the Shree Kshetra Kadri here on Thursday January 19 morning.
He had taken part in Udupi Paryaya Mahotsav on Wednesday January 18 and on Thursday visited Kadri Manjunath temple and offered prayers.
On the same day, noted saxophonist Kadri Gopalnath also visited the Temple along with his family and offered a three-foot tall Mathsyendranatha silver idol covering weighing 10 kg and worth Rs 10 lac, which was prepared in GRT Sangha Maalige, Chennai over a period of 4 months.
The Maharaja of Travancore met the ace musician by chance and requested him to perform for him on his 90th birthday in March.
On the occasion, Kadri Jogi Mutt Rajyogi Sri Taponidhi Sandyanathji, Pradeep Kumar Kalkura, A J Shetty, Pejavar Swamiji among others were present.
