Mangaluru, Apr 24: Catholic Sabha central president and AICU Karnataka state president Alwyn D'Souza Paneer has strongly condemned the recent terrorist attack in Pahalgam, expressing deep sorrow over the loss of lives.

"We express our heartfelt condolences to the victims of the Pahalgam terrorist attack. Catholic Sabha stands united in the fight against terrorism and extends its full support to every citizen of India. Acts of terrorism are brutal crimes and there can be no justification for such violence," Alwyn D'Souza stated in a press release.

He urged the central government to decisively eliminate terrorism and ensure the safety of the nation’s citizens. "The incident must be taken with utmost seriousness. A terrorist attack in the name of religion is a deeply disturbing development that cannot be tolerated. May the souls of the deceased rest in peace, and may God give strength to their families to endure this tragic loss. Their untimely demise is not only a personal loss to the families but also a significant loss to the entire nation," he said.

The Catholic Sabha Mangalore Pradesh (R) and the All India Catholic Union (AICU) have both denounced the attack, calling for immediate and firm action against such terrorist organizations. “Terrorists must be crushed. Such organizations, regardless of their country of origin, must be uprooted entirely. We pray for peace to the departed souls and for the speedy recovery of the injured,” Alwyn D'Souza added.
