Shivpuri, Apr 25: Panic gripped residents of Thakur Baba Colony in Madhya Pradesh’s Shivpuri district on Friday morning after a mysterious object fell from the sky, crashing into a house near the Thakur Baba Mandir and causing a loud explosion that rocked the area.
Though the front portion of the house was heavily damaged, the family inside miraculously escaped unharmed. The incident occurred around 11:30 am, creating widespread alarm in the locality.

“The explosion was deafening, and the shockwave reverberated across the entire neighbourhood,” said a local resident. “It felt like something had just dropped out of the sky with immense force.”
Station in-charge of Kolaras, Jitendra Mawai, confirmed the development and said preliminary investigations point to the object possibly being debris from an aircraft. “A suspicious metallic object was found at the site. We’ve requested a team from the Maharajpura Air Force Station in Gwalior to inspect and verify the material,” he told.
Located nearly 115 kilometres from the site, the Gwalior Air Force Station has dispatched experts to assess the situation. “Only they can conclusively identify the object and determine the next steps,” Mawai added.
Meanwhile, police have cordoned off the area and deployed additional personnel to manage crowds and prevent further panic. The object’s identity remains unknown, although similarities have been drawn to earlier incidents in the region.
Interestingly, this is not the first time the region has witnessed such mysterious aerial events. Two years ago, shiny, metallic spheres reportedly fell from the sky in parts of Shivpuri and neighbouring Gwalior, believed by some to be fragments of rockets or satellites. One such object landed in a field in Jaura Shyampur village in Gwalior’s Bhitarwar area, drawing national attention.
Though those incidents were probed by scientific and defence authorities, their findings were never publicly disclosed.
As anxiety lingers and curiosity builds, residents await clarity from the Air Force team, hoping for answers to this unnerving celestial mystery.
