Mangaluru, Apr 30: The echoes of cheers, the thud of balls, and the spirited cries of teamwork reached a grand conclusion as the valedictory ceremony of the Summer Sports Camp 2025 of Mount Carmel Central School, Mangaluru unfolded with great enthusiasm and pride on April 30.
The ceremony marked the end of an action-packed and skill-enhancing camp that brought together young talents in Table Tennis, Basketball, Football and Cricket. Over the past one month, the school campus had transformed into a vibrant arena of sporting energy, determination and camaraderie.
The ceremony commenced with a warm greeting by the principal Sr Melissa who applauded the enthusiasm and dedication of the participants. She thanked the camp coaches Ashwin Padukone, Shashank Rai, Akshara and Santhosh Misquith along with their assistants, for their unwavering commitment and mentorship which played a crucial role in shaping the participants’ camp journey. Their expertise and encouragement made the camp a rich learning experience for all. The principal also acknowledged the support of the school PETs towards the success of the sports camp 2025.
As a highlight of the camp, tournaments were conducted for each of the four games, igniting a spirit of healthy competition among the participants. The winners and runners-up teams were honoured with trophies and medals, celebrating their outstanding performance and sportsmanship. Special awards were also presented to Best Player in each sport, adding to the excitement of the day.
The most awaited moment of the day was the certificate distribution ceremony to all the participants who completed the month’s camp successfully. Beaming faces lit up the stage as participants from all four sports received their certificates, recognizing their hard work, discipline and dedication.
The ceremony concluded with a group photograph that captured the essence of the event – celebration, achievement and unity, and ended on a sweet note with a delightful treat of ice cream for all gathered.
Though the Summer Sports Camp 2025 came to an end, the memories made, lessons learned, and friendships formed will continue to inspire every participant to pursue excellence both on and off the field.
