New Delhi, May 4: Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, on Sunday, emphasized that it is his duty to give a strong response to those who dare to attack India, following the deadly Pahalgam terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir. While addressing the Sanskriti Jagran Mahotsav, he assured the audience that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India’s response will be decisive and forceful.

Rajnath Singh highlighted the unwavering resolve of the Indian armed forces, noting their dual role in protecting both the physical and spiritual essence of the country. He said, "Our soldiers safeguard India’s borders, while our sages and wise men defend our spiritual identity."

Referring to the recent attack in Pahalgam on April 22, in which 26 people, mostly tourists, lost their lives, Singh reiterated the government's commitment to avenging such attacks. Earlier, Prime Minister Modi had declared that the armed forces have full freedom to determine their response to the incident. He reaffirmed India's resolve to deliver a crushing blow to terrorism, stating it as the nation's commitment.

Singh’s remarks were a reaffirmation of the government’s stance against terrorism and a pledge to protect the nation’s integrity at all costs.
