Moodbidri, May 5: “Among all forms of wealth, education is the greatest asset,” said Narayan P M, president of Moodbidri Sarvajanika Sri Ganeshotsava Trust and proprietor of Nishmitha Groups. He was speaking at a book distribution event and educational scholarship information workshop held at the Durga Parameshwari Temple hall in Iruvail on May 4. The programme was organized under the aegis of Brahmashree Narayana Guruswamy Seva Sangha (R) Irvail Puchchamogaru and the women’s wing of the same association.
He stated that Moodbidri has grown into a major educational hub with all the necessary facilities, and a full-fledged medical college will soon be established. He urged students to make full use of such opportunities.
During the event, books sponsored by Venkatesh Poojary, a businessman from Silvassa, Gujarat, were distributed to 500 students.























Kumar Poojary of Irvail, president of Brahmashree Narayana Guruswamy Seva Sangha, presided over the event. In his address, he emphasized that good speech, noble conduct, and virtuous thinking are the greatest forms of wealth in a person’s life. He said the organization hosts such events every year to ensure that students do not lag behind in education due to lack of resources. He thanked everyone who contributed to the success of the event.
Sponsors of the book distribution event included businessman Satishchandra Salyan Panila from Irvail, Chandrashekhar Edapadavu, and Sujata Jayaram Shetty, president of the Durga Parameshwari Temple Management Committee. Also present were Deepa Dinesh, president of the women’s wing of the Brahmashree Narayana Guruswamy Seva Sangha, secretary Prameela Rajesh, Lalitha, president of Irvail gram panchayat, Jacinta, headmistress of DKZP. Higher Primary School, and the headmistress of Hosabettu Government High School.
Students and contributors were felicitated on the occasion. Among them was Sameeksha, daughter of Satish Poojary and Harinakshi, who secured the highest marks in the recent SSLC examination from Hosabettu Government High School. Kumar Poojary of Irvail and businessman Venkatesh Poojary of Silvassa were also honoured for their continuous contributions to the development of the school.
The programme was anchored by Dinesh Poojary Kattanige. Ravi Poojary Thampottu led the prayer. Swathi Ganesh Kutyady conducted the book distribution and proposed the vote of thanks. Rajesh Kaluru, Muttappa Salyan, Pradeep Shetty, Somashekhar, Praveen Poojary, Prameela Rajesh, Tara Janardhan, Renuka Prashanth, Harinakshi Satish, and Sevanti honored the guests.
