New Delhi, May 7: As the nation woke up to the news of India’s precise and strategic air strikes under Operation Sindoor, a wave of patriotic pride surged across the country. Indian sports stars were quick to salute the armed forces, hailing the calculated offensive as a symbol of strength, resolve, and justice.
The Indian armed forces launched Operation Sindoor during the early hours of May 7, striking nine high-value terror targets in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK). The operation came in response to the brutal terrorist attack in Pahalgam on April 22, which claimed the lives of 26 innocent civilians.
Boxer Gaurav Bidhuri issued a fiery statement backing the armed forces and dismissing critics. “While we slept, our Army was delivering justice through Operation Sindoor. To those who kept demanding action — this is your answer,” he said. Bidhuri emphasized the intense strategic planning behind such missions and lauded the Army’s precision and discipline. “They hit 8 to 9 terror camps in a single coordinated mission. The message is loud and clear — terrorism will not go unpunished.”
Olympic medal-winning wrestler Bajrang Punia, whose own family was impacted by the Pahalgam attack, shared a deeply personal tribute. “The Indian Army has honoured the death of my brother with courage and justice. Their bravery brings solace to my family and pride to our nation. In times like this, we must stand united, beyond politics.”
From the boxing ring to the badminton court, support poured in. Boxer Vijender Singh wrote simply, “Bharat Mata ki Jai.” Badminton ace Saina Nehwal and former cricketer Suresh Raina echoed the sentiment with posts reading “Jai Hind” on social media.
The Defence Ministry confirmed that the operation was conducted after careful intelligence gathering, specifically targeting terror infrastructure linked to banned outfits like Jaish-e-Mohammed and Lashkar-e-Taiba. Notably, the strikes avoided civilian and military targets in Pakistan, signaling India’s restrained yet resolute approach.
As hashtags like #OperationSindoor and #JaiHind dominated digital spaces, the unity among India’s sporting heroes highlighted a collective sentiment — that national security must transcend political and ideological boundaries.
In the words of Gaurav Bidhuri, “This isn’t just retaliation — it’s justice.”
Jai Hind!
