Udupi District Citizens' Committee celebrates ‘Operation Sindoor’ with Tricolour parade

Udupi, May 7: The Udupi District Citizens' Committee expressed its support for ‘Operation Sindoor’ and celebrated it by organizing a Tricolour parade with a massive 21x14 feet National Flag, on WEdnesday, May 7.

The march began at Chittaranjan Circle and proceeded to Maruthi Veethika Circle, before returning to its starting point.





As part of the celebration, the committee distributed sweets to the public along the route, creating a festive and patriotic atmosphere.

Speaking on the occasion, Nithyanad Volakad, president, Udupi District Citizens' Committee said, “The Indian government has taken a bold step with Operation Sindoor. We are celebrating it by honouring our Indian Army through this tricolour flag parade. Flowers were offered to the flag, patriotic slogans were raised, and sweets were shared with the people. The flag used in this parade is among the biggest in the country.”

Students from Mitra School of Nursing actively participated in the event, along with Vinayak Hegde from Kotak Mahindra Bank, Sudhakar, Rajesh Shet, Taranath Mesta, and several others, who joined in to mark their support and solidarity.
