Mangaluru, May 8: The Holy Cross Church in Cordel, Kulshekar, witnessed a deeply spiritual and joyful celebration on Sunday, April 27, as 35 children received their First Holy Communion in the presence of their families and parish community.

The solemn Eucharistic celebration was led by the main celebrant, Fr Paul Sebastian D’Souza, who guided the children through this significant milestone in their faith journey. Fr Clifford Fernandes, in his inspiring homily, highlighted the sacredness of receiving Jesus in the Holy Eucharist for the first time. His message, filled with spiritual depth and encouragement, struck a chord with the young communicants and their loved ones.

Adding grace and solemnity to the celebration, several priests joined Fr Paul at the altar in concelebration, symbolizing the unity and support of the church for the children embarking on this important spiritual step.
