SIT’s 'Envision-2025' techno-cultural fest inaugurated with focus on skill development & leadership

Mangaluru, May 9: The Inaugural function of "Envision-2025", national level techno-cultural fest was held on May 7 in Srinivas Institute of Technology, Valachil, Mangaluru.

Jasline Theresa Menezes, HR department, Tetherfi Technologies Pvt Ltd was the chief guest. Dr CA A Raghavendra Rao, chancellor, Srinivas University and president, A Shama Rao Foundation presided over the function. Dr A Srinivas Rao, pro-chancellor, Srinivas University, and vice president, A Shama Rao Foundation was the guest of honour. The dais also featured Dr Shrinivasa Mayya D, principal and convener, Dr Rajesh, envision coordinator, and student coordinators of Envision 2025.

The chief guest Jasline Theresa Menezes, highlighted that the real world of work is evolving, where success depends not only on knowledge but also on active involvement and emphasized that technical skills start a career, but soft skills helps to succeed and stay. She noted that events like "Envision" play a vital role in shaping students’ leadership qualities and building their confidence. Such initiatives ultimately contribute to continuous upskilling and career growth.

Dr CA A Raghavendra Rao emphasised the significance of "Envision" in developing leadership skills, self-confidence and teamwork. He encouraged everyone to participate actively and learn from one another. He also stressed the importance of commercial English and its integration into academics. He expressed satisfaction with the substantial turnout of over 800 participants at "Envision 2025".

Dr A Srinivas Rao, in his address, appreciated "Envision" team for consistently introducing innovative events that reflect students’ ideas and support their knowledge growth. He emphasised the importance of setting clear career goals and pursuing them with dedication through academics and active participation in initiatives like Envision. He also encouraged students to seize opportunities and strive for excellence.

Dr Rajesh, assistant professor, department of Aeronautical Engineering and faculty coordinator of the programme, provided an overview of the various activities planned for "Envision 2025".

Chaithra led the programme with the invocation, followed by a warm welcome from Pavan Acharya, "Envision 2025" coordinator. Mohanish introduced the chief guest, and Vishal, president of the student council, delivered the vote of thanks. Abhijna and Yukthi were the masters of ceremonies.
