New Delhi, May 11: The Indian Armed Forces provided a detailed briefing on Sunday about Operation Sindoor, which targeted terror infrastructure in Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir (PoJK) and Pakistan's Punjab province on May 7.
The operation was launched in response to the Pahalgam terror attack on April 22 that claimed the lives of 26 people, including 25 Indians.

The press conference was led by four senior officers of the Indian Armed Forces, each of whom played a crucial role in the planning and execution of the operation.
The officers included:
• Lt general Rajiv Ghai, Director General of Military Operations (DGMO)
• Air marshal AK Bharti, Director General of Air Operations (DGAO)
• Vice admiral AN Pramod, Director General of Naval Operations (DGNO)
• Maj general SS Sharda, Director General at the Directorate General of Public Information
During the press briefing, the officers provided insight into the operation's success in dismantling terror infrastructure across the targeted regions, underscoring the strategic coordination between India's Army, Navy, and Air Force. The operation, they explained, was carried out with precision and aimed to neutralize terror threats emanating from PoJK and Pakistan's Punjab region.
The briefing also emphasized the determination of the Indian Armed Forces to protect national security and neutralize any threats posed by cross-border terrorism.
