Udupi, May 13: In a tragic road mishap, a 14-year-old boy lost his life after a bike collided with a milestone on the roadside when a dog suddenly crossed the path. The deceased has been identified as Sheikh Abdul Saifan, son of Abdul Aziz, a resident of Tenka Ermalu.

The incident occurred when the father and son were returning home after buying books in Padubidri. A dog reportedly crossed the road unexpectedly, causing the bike to go out of control and crash into a milestone by the highway. The impact was so severe that part of the bike caught fire and was partially burned.

Saifan, who sustained serious injuries after falling on the road, was rushed to a private hospital in Udupi. However, despite medical efforts, he succumbed to his injuries late at night.

A case has been registered at the Padubidri police station.

Dogs should be saved as they have big family. They should not be killed. They can bite, and can be responsible for peoples death. No case. No precaution. Though there are lot of incidents occurring every day. If some other people responsible, they would have jailed, case and penalty etc. Now no case, no penalty, no jail. Poor man lost his son bike and he himself wounded in heart and body. Non curable wound to his mind. Might be only son. Let God give him strength to bear pain.
