Doctor accused of misbehaving with young woman at clinic in Brahmavar

Brahmavar, May 16: A case has been filed at the Kota police station against a doctor who allegedly misbehaved with a young woman who had visited his clinic for treatment.

The victim, a 20-year-old woman originally from Sasthana and currently residing in Mumbai, had returned to her hometown due to health issues. She visited the Upadhyaya Clinic in Sasthana for a medical check-up. It is alleged that Dr Raghavendra Upadhyaya, who runs the clinic, behaved inappropriately with her during the consultation.

After returning home, the woman informed her family about the incident. In response, local residents gathered in the evening, waited for the doctor to arrive, and confronted him. The situation escalated, and the doctor was reportedly manhandled by the crowd.

Kota police soon arrived at the scene, took the accused into custody, and registered an FIR against him. The accused will be produced before the court on Friday. Further investigation is taking place.
