Yenepoya Dental College celebrates Annual Day, installs new student council for 2025

Mangaluru, May 16: The Student Council of Yenepoya Dental College conducted Annual Day and Student Council Installation on May 14 in the Dental College Auditorium. Principal Dr Laxmikanth Chatra, dean, Dr Sham S Bhat, dean student affairs Dr Maji Jose, chief guest Dr Mithra N Hegde and guest of honor Dr Krishnaraj Upadhyaya were present on the dais.

The dean welcomed the gathering followed by address by the guest of honor and chief guest. The under graduate academic toppers of the previous University examination of I, II and III BDS were felicitated along with the winners of the sports competitions. Non-teaching staff of various categories were recognized.

The dignitaries released the student council magazine Vaarnikah. Dr Laxmikanth Chatra delivered the presidential address which was followed by the vote of thanks by Dr Raksha Ballal. The installation ceremony of the student council followed, with the members of the core committee taking their seats on the dais. The secretary of the student council Aysha Munha read the annual report followed by speech by the outgoing president Ahmed Taha.

The new members were inducted following oath administration by Dr Maji Jose. The incoming president Aysha Munha addressed the gathering. Appreciation scrolls were presented to the members of the outgoing council. Student council members Vafeela and Aysha Ruhana compered the event.
