UAE, May 20: As part of World Hypertension Day, Thumbay Hospital Fujairah organised a special awareness event to promote blood pressure management and cardiovascular health among the public and corporate sector. The initiative aligns with the hospital’s mission to promote preventive healthcare and community wellness.
The programme featured informative sessions led by senior medical professionals.
Dr Abdul Rahuman Aboobaker, consultant – cardiology, highlighted the importance of early detection and lifestyle modifications to manage hypertension.
Dr C R Sathyanarayanan, specialist – internal medicine, HoD and medical director, described hypertension as the ‘silent killer’ and stressed the need for long-term treatment adherence.
Dr Manish Singhal, chief operating officer, reiterated the hospital’s dedication to preventive health and unveiled upcoming wellness initiatives tailored for the corporate sector.
The event witnessed the participation of over 50 professionals from various corporate entities, including HSE managers, corporate nurses, safety officers, HR, and administrative personnel. Participants were awarded certificates and wellness kits as a token of appreciation.
To further its support for the community, Thumbay Hospital Fujairah introduced a special hypertension screening package to encourage early diagnosis and effective disease management.
