'Sindhoora Vijayotsava' celebrated with grand procession honouring war operation

Mangaluru, May 21: In celebration of the successful completion of Operation Sindhoor, a grand procession titled ‘Sindhoora Vijayotsava’ was held in Mangaluru on May 20 under the banner of the Sindhoora Vijayotsava Samiti.

The colourful and spirited procession began at PVS Circle and culminated at Lalbagh, drawing participation from a large number of enthusiastic citizens. Later, a public meeting was held at the Coastal Grounds, where patriotic fervour echoed through the speeches delivered by distinguished guests.

Speaking on the occasion, retired Navy officer Sudhir Pai hailed Operation Sindhoor as a significant triumph for the Indian Armed Forces. "This is a moment of great pride for every Indian. The success of this operation stands as a testament to the bravery and strategic brilliance of our armed forces," he said, drawing applause from the gathering.

Keshav Nandodi, convenor of the Sindhoora Vijayotsava committee, presided over the event. Writer Rashmi Samant from Udupi delivered a stirring address, highlighting the importance of national unity and pride.

The event also witnessed the presence and blessings of several revered spiritual leaders, including Rajasekharananda Swamiji of Gurupura Vajradehi Math, Gurudevananda Swamiji of Sri Kshetra Odiyur, Swastishri Bhattarak Charukeerthi Panditacharyavarya Swamiji of Mudubidire Jain Math, Vidyananda Saraswati Swamiji of Om Sri Math, Mangaluru, Matashree Shivajnanamai Saraswati and Sri Sai Ishwar Guruji of Shankarpur.

Prominent leaders such as Kalladka Prabhakara Bhat, Kamala Prabhakara Bhat, Vihimpa provincial working president Prof MB Puranik, District president HK Purushottam, MLAs D Vedavyasa Kamath, Y Bharat Shetty, Umanatha Kotyan, Rajesh Naik, Bhagirathi Murulya, Kishore Kumar, and BJP DK district president Satish Kumpala were also in attendance, showing their solidarity and respect for the armed forces.

The event concluded with a call to continue honouring and supporting India’s military endeavours while fostering a sense of patriotism and unity among citizens.
