Mangaluru: Electrician dies after bike skids on NH-66 near Kolya

Mangaluru, May 24: In a tragic incident, a motorcyclist sustained serious injuries and died after his bike skidded and overturned on National Highway 66 near Kolya late night on Friday May 23.

The deceased has been identified as Manoj Gatti (54), a resident of Pilaru Ambisadi in Someshwara village, who worked as an electrician.

According to reports, Manoj was returning home on his bike after attending the Bandi Utsav at the Kondaana temple in Kotekar when the accident occurred at Kolya. His bike reportedly skidded and overturned, throwing him onto the road and causing severe injuries.

Local residents immediately rushed him to a private hospital in Deralakatte, but he succumbed to his injuries without responding to treatment.

Manoj is survived by his mother, brother, sister, wife, and a son.
