Mangaluru, May 24: Congress leader Udaya Shetty Muniyal, in a social media post, stated that the Congress-led Karnataka government has decided to take concrete steps to address the growing doubts and anxieties surrounding the effects of the COVID-19 vaccine.
“There is increasing concern and fear across the country regarding the possible side effects of the COVID vaccine. To put an end to this uncertainty, the state Congress government has decided to act,” he said.

He alleged that the Central government has so far failed to publicly disclose official data on COVID-related deaths in the country. “The Centre has not responded to the issue of sudden cardiac arrests especially among youths and deaths reported among several individuals who had received the vaccine,” he added.
To address public anxiety, the state government is forming an expert committee to conduct a scientific study on whether there is a link between sudden deaths among youth and the COVID-19 vaccine. Udaya Shetty said the move aims to dispel vaccine-related fears and suspicions through proper research and scientific findings.
The expert panel will be tasked with conducting a detailed study and is expected to submit its report within three months, he confirmed.
