Kaup: Private bus overturns on national highway, several passengers injured

Kaup, May 26: A major road accident occurred near Kaup on the national highway when a private express bus traveling between Udupi and Mangaluru overturned after the driver reportedly lost control of the vehicle.

The incident is said to have occurred during a high-speed competition with a KSRTC bus. The private bus lost balance and overturned on the road.

Several passengers sustained injuries in the accident. Local residents acted swiftly, using ladders and pulling out passengers through the windows to ensure their safety.

Kaup police visited the spot and conducted a preliminary investigation. Further details are awaited.

    Not surprised at all....these young new drivers think that they're flying supersonic jets on our roads...in some cases they want to impress someone and other cases it's competition but all at the cost of lives of innocent passengers. Our bad roads and mad drivers makes perfect combination.

    For once can the manglore Dc and Commissioner take action on these bus drivers ...I have seen so many accidents caused by bus drivers especially the private and express busses always trying to race each other or over speed ...why is no one taking action ..just sitting and minting money . The innocents suffer due to these useless system and hooligans
