Lourdes Central School holds inauguration of renovated office, state-of-the-art computer lab

Mangaluru, May 26: Lourdes Central School held a grand inauguration and blessing ceremony for its renovated administration office and computer laboratory on May 26. This event signifies a substantial advancement in the school's dedication to providing state-of-the-art infrastructure and resources for its students and faculty.

Dr John Baptist Saldanha, Lourdes Central School manager, and Fr Johnson L Sequeira, Lourdes Central School principal, officially opened the renovated administration office and computer laboratory with a ribbon-cutting ceremony. They were accompanied by Fr Peter Mascarnehas, Dr Vincent Sequira, Fr Norman Mathais, Fr Joseph Arul, vice principals Belita Mascarnehas and Anita Thomas, members of the management committee, and Lourdes Central School faculty. The ceremony continued with a prayer service led by Dr John Baptist Saldanha and the school choir.

The principal of Lourdes Central School extended a welcome to the president of the programme, the management committee, staff, and the revered clergy.

Doctor John Baptist Saldanha, LCS manager, conducted the blessing ceremony, offering prayers for the students, staff, and faculty, and invoking divine guidance and blessings upon the school community. The choir's hymn, "There will be showers of blessings," further invoked divine favour.

In his address, Dr John Baptist Saldanha, stated that each must be the light to make LCS shine. Everyone matters, hence a great responsibility is upon everyone’s shoulders to raise high the flag of LCS.

LCS principal Fr Johnson Lawrence Sequeira expressed his gratitude to the administration, faculty, and student body for their dedicated efforts in completing this project. He emphasized the importance of these facilities in fostering academic excellence and preparing students for the digital age.

The event concluded with a tour of the new facilities, demonstrating the school's dedication to innovation and excellence. The new computer laboratory and renovated administrative offices are designed to enhance the learning experience and administrative efficiency, thereby reinforcing Lourdes Central School's position as a leading educational institution.

Shanthi Menezes, a Lourdes Central School staff member, served as the master of ceremonies for the entire programme.
