Kasargod, May 27: A tree fell on a moving car in Vidyanagar on the outskirts of Kasargod city, causing damage to the vehicle. Fortunately, the driver escaped with no injuries.

The incident occurred in front of the district panchayat office in Vidyanagar. The car was being driven by a resident of Vidyanagar, Pavithra S.

Strong winds and rain caused the tree to snap and fall onto the road, along with power lines, landing directly on the car. Fire and emergency services personnel, along with electricity board staff, rushed to the spot and cleared the tree from the road.

The car sustained damage, but no injuries were reported.
