Karnataka reports 42 new Covid-19 cases, 1 death; total tally reaches 253

Bengaluru, May 29: Covid-19 cases are once again on the rise in the state, with 42 new positive cases confirmed in the past 24 hours. With this, the total number of infections has increased to 253.

One Covid-related death was reported in the state today. Since January 2025, a total of two deaths have occurred due to the virus.

As of now, the state has 148 active cases, while 19 patients have been discharged from hospital in the past 24 hours.

According to the health department, a total of 103 individuals have recovered and been discharged from hospitals since January 1, 2025.

In the last 24 hours, 513 tests were conducted, including 463 RTPCR tests and 50 rapid antigen tests (RAT). The positivity rate stands at 8.18%, while the case fatality rate is at 2.3%.

    Now no Sars, Mers, flu deaths only Covid deaths counted ? or these RTPCR test detects all as Covid for stats and for more vaccine business ?If Vaccines are good and protective fine but they turned out to be deadlier than virus itself with too many cardiac arrests, clots and turbo cancers?
