Kanpur, May 30: Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in a fiery address in Kanpur on Friday, declared that the world had witnessed India’s might during a military confrontation with Pakistan, where indigenous weapons like the BrahMos missile created havoc under ‘Operation Sindoor.’
Highlighting the strength of Make in India, PM Modi said, “Our Indian-made weapons, including the BrahMos missile, entered enemy territory and hit targets with precision. This is the power of Aatmanirbhar Bharat.”

Stressing the importance of self-reliance, PM Modi recalled a time when India depended on foreign nations for security. “Today, being Aatmanirbhar boosts both our economy and self-respect,” he said.
Unveiling India’s new counter-terrorism approach, PM Modi outlined a three-rule doctrine:
1. Every terror attack will get a response—its timing and form decided by the armed forces.
2. India will not fear hollow threats of nuclear weapons.
3. Both terrorists and their sponsor governments will be treated alike.
Addressing Pakistan directly, he warned, “This game of state and non-state actors won’t work anymore.” In his signature Kanpuriya style, he added, “Dushman kahin bhi ho, honk diya jayega” (Wherever the enemy is, they will be hit), drawing huge applause.
PM Modi was in Kanpur to launch and lay the foundation stone for 15 development projects worth ?47,600 crore. He also inaugurated a new corridor of the Kanpur Metro from Chunniganj to Nayaganj.
