Kaup: Man missing since May 29, complaint filed

Kaup, May 31: Shekhar Kotian (73) from Enagudde village in Katapady has been reported missing since May 29.

He was reportedly suffering from hernia and had undergone a medical check-up at a hospital in Udupi. He was advised to return for surgery on May 30. However, on the morning of May 29 at around 6 am, he left home for the local market and has not returned since.

Despite extensive search efforts by family members, he remains untraceable. A missing person complaint has been lodged at Kaup police station by Vidyadhar Salian. Police have registered a case and are continuing the investigation.

Shekhar Kotian is described as being 5.6 feet tall with a dark complexion. At the time of his disappearance, he was wearing a red and black lungi and a white vest. He is fluent in Kannada, Tulu, and Hindi.
