Mangaluru: Police commissioner Sudheer Kumar Reddy issues stern warning to criminals, their aiders

Daijiworld Media Network - Mangaluru

Mangaluru, May 31: Newly appointed police commissioner Sudheer Kumar Reddy has issued a strong warning to those involved in crimes such as murder, as well as to anyone who supports or harbours such accused individuals.

"Let this be clear: anyone who aids a murder or crime accused, whether by offering shelter, food, a vehicle to escape, money, or even a phone to communicate, will be treated as an accused under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS)," Reddy stated.

He emphasized that this warning also extends to the accused’s friends, relatives, and even members of their households. "Knowingly supporting a criminal is a punishable offense under the law. Ignorance will not be an excuse," he added.

He also said, "If you believe someone has not been arrested, question us, we will take immediate action. No one will be spared."

I urge the police to take the strictest action against those involved in communal violence or the killing of innocent people. They should be punished so seriously that they never think of committing such crimes again and it should also act as a warning to others who might try to follow in their footsteps
