Mangaluru, Jun 3: The inauguration of the academic year 2025–26 at Carmel School CBSE, Kotekar, was held on June 2, with grace and enthusiasm, marking the dawn of a new chapter in the school’s ongoing journey of educational excellence.
The celebration began with the vibrant and spirited beats of the school band, setting a joyful tone as the new staff and students were welcomed with warmth and cheer. A significant highlight of the morning was the ceremonial scrolling down of the academic year 2025–26 banner, symbolising a year ahead filled with growth, discovery, and unity.

A soul-soothing prayer service followed, invoking divine blessings for wisdom, strength, and guidance in the days to come. To further celebrate the spirit of camaraderie, the teachers presented a graceful welcome dance, mesmerizing the audience with their rhythm and elegance.
One of the most touching and symbolic moments of the event was the introduction of new teachers. In a gesture of unity, the existing staff formed a circle holding a ribbon, into which the new teachers wove their own ribbon pieces beautifully representing inclusion, togetherness, and the ever-growing Carmel family.
Sr Pramila AC, principal, then delivered an inspiring and motivational address, offering valuable insights and setting a clear direction for the academic year. She encouraged both students and staff to pursue excellence and uphold the core values of Carmel.
The ceremony concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks by Tr Sushmitha, who expressed deep gratitude to all who contributed to the success of the programme. The event ended on a reverent note with the school anthem, echoing pride, unity, and a collective commitment to the Carmel spirit.
