Bahrain: New management panel takes charge at Kannada Sangha, special pooja mahotsava on June 6

Bahrain, June 5: The new management committee of the state award-winning Kannada Sangha in Bahrain has officially taken charge for the term 2025–2026. Ajith Bangera has been unanimously elected as the president and will now lead the association’s administration.

Ajith Bangera, a resident of the island for the past 17 years, hails from Katapady in Udupi district. He is socially active and has previously served as the president of Bahrain Billawas.

To mark the formation of the new management, a special pooja mahotsava has been scheduled at the Sangha's hall on Friday, June 6.

Vedic scholar and head priest Vedamoorthi Krishna Adiga from the famed Kadri Temple in Mangaluru will specially visit the island to conduct the rituals. Under his guidance, a Sri Satyanarayana Pooja and Sri Shani Pooja will be performed.

The rituals will begin at 4 pm and will continue until 7 pm, followed by Mangalarathi and distribution of prasadam. The mahotsava will conclude with Annasantarpane (community dinner) till 8 pm.

The event is open to all Kannadigas on the island, and president Ajith Bangera along with the management committee has extended a warm invitation to everyone to attend in large numbers and receive the divine blessings.
