Kundapur: Five rescued from drowning at Trasi-Maravanthe beach

Kundapur, June 8: Five individuals, including four from Bengaluru and one woman from Goa, were rescued from being swept away by waves while swimming at the popular Trasi-Maravanthe beach on June 7 evening.

The rescue was carried out by lifeguards Prithviraj Uppunda and Pramod Raj Uppunda, along with beach supervisor Suresh Koderi and 24x7 ambulance staffer Ibrahim Gangolli.

Following the incident, Gangolli police inspector and personnel, along with One-Two and highway patrol staff, arrived at the spot. Sirens were sounded to alert and caution tourists for safety.
