Mangaluru, Jun 10: Daijiworld.com, the pioneering web portal from coastal Karnataka, has announced a vibrant Konkani cultural event as part of its 25th anniversary celebrations, marking a significant milestone in its journey of media excellence.

Established in 2000, Daijiworld.com has grown into a trusted global platform, connecting the diaspora of coastal Karnataka with their homeland through credible news, timely updates, and community stories. Over the years, it has cemented its place as a household name for digital journalism and cross-border engagement in the region.

To commemorate this silver jubilee, the management has planned a series of events, with a special Konkani musical evening scheduled for July 5. The event promises to be a cultural treat, celebrating the essence of Konkani music and dance.

The highlight of the evening will be a musical extravaganza led by renowned music director Sanjay Rodrigues, known for his ground-breaking contributions to modern Konkani music. Joining him on stage will be some of the finest Konkani singing talents from the coastal belt, delivering a blend of classic and contemporary melodies.

Adding energy and flair to the celebration, Urban Groove Dance Academy, under the direction of Avil D’Cruz, will present a dynamic display of choreographed dance performances, bringing rhythm and visual brilliance to the event.

The programme is set to take place at St Agnes Centenary Auditorium, beginning promptly at 5:30 pm and concluding by 8:30 pm. Entry free. Seats on first come, first serve basis.

Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Ltd (MRPL) has stepped forward as the golden sponsor of the event, reaffirming its commitment to supporting local arts and cultural initiatives.
