Udupi, Jun 14: The Catholic Sabha Udupi Pradesh(R) has expressed profound sorrow over the horrific plane accident that occurred on Thursday, June 12, in Ahmedabad.

"May the souls of the departed rest in peace. We stand in solidarity with all those affected by this unfortunate incident. Our thoughts and prayers are with the grieving families. We pray to God to grant eternal peace to the departed souls. We also pray for the speedy recovery of the injured," said Ronald Almeida, president Catholic Sabha Udupi Pradesh.

More than 240 people were killed when an Air India plane bound for London crashed moments after taking off from the city of Ahmedabad.
