It seems it is the sole right of this Minister to hoist the national flat for all occasions. I was there during November 1 flag hoisting ceremony and it looks so lousy...except government officials, school teachers and children, some NCC/Guides cadets the local citizens hardly to count...same speeaches and give big figures and complete the rituals.....it seems we need to re think while spending a huge public money for all these public ceremonies.

Krishna Palemar does not look confident in his driving. Does he hold a driving license? I remember the case of the person who drove the bus yesterday and killed 9 persons ...

dear gerald country men are true Indians. The people who riding the antique cars look like jokers and never thought they will become ministers. The reason they are in power is just bcoz hate and divide policy. Never Compromise with such people. Lets Unite Muslims, Daliths, Christians, Farmers, Oppressed and built the strong India.

Happy Republic day to all my Indian brothers n sisters. I am surprised to note that Mini Vidanasoudha will be built at Sulya Puttur wasting 550 crores. Is this the developmental work of BJP? When there are no houses to live for poor people bcz of flood two years before in north karataka. These crookeds are building Vidan Saudha for them selves. God knows where this govt is heading towards may be Rawana Rajya. All of them mentality is make money on short period, donation to temples or building something in their memory from public money. Treasury has become empty for poor but have funds for these type of works. People don't have proper roads n bridges not even drinking water. I blame the public for bringing curse in our state by voting these people.

Looks like we are too much into "Vyakti Pooje" rather than love for the country or patriotism. Is it Republic day celebration or Palemar celebration?

India is a great country and a great democracy as well. We are a melting pot of so many cultures and languages and a symbol of unity in diversity. More over we are secular country as well.

We should have invited some great human being to lead the Republic Day celebrations instead of a communal, narrow minded political leader like Palemar. Are we running short of some non political great human being???

Thanks Daiji for publishing beautiful photographs of republic day celebration in our native place.
I was taught in my primary school about the meaning of Republic Day but at that time i was not matured enough to understand. Every citizen in India has their own rights & on this day they were brought into operation. Since then do we really use our rights? Who will stand against the government when our rights are breached?

I am Proud to be an Indian if I was born in this country 100 years ago when people had values! NOT AT ALL! Everyday of my life I feel ashamed that I am Indian. A country of dishonest and corrupt PEOPLE. A country with no civic sense and full of dirt. A country where everyone wants to cheat others....I AM ASHAMED! Hope all people feel same ...happy republic day jai Bharath ..jai Karnatak
