New Delhi, Jun 16: In a shocking incident that underscores the growing involvement of juveniles in heinous crimes, a man was stabbed to death by three minors during a robbery attempt in Delhi. The tragic episode unfolded when the victim, Amit Kumar, resisted an attempt to snatch his mobile phone and personal belongings, prompting the assailants to attack him fatally.
According to officials from Delhi Police, the incident came to light on June 10 when information was received from Deep Chand Bandhu Hospital regarding the admission of a critically injured man who had suffered multiple stab wounds. The victim, later identified as Amit Kumar, succumbed to his injuries despite prompt medical intervention.

With no eyewitnesses or immediate leads, the case was initially registered as a blind murder under FIR No. 325/25 U/s 103(1) BNS at PS Ashok Vihar. However, refusing to let the matter go cold, the police launched an intensive investigation.
A special team from PS Ashok Vihar undertook a multi-pronged probe involving technical surveillance, meticulous scrutiny of CCTV footage, and extensive groundwork through local informers. Their relentless efforts bore fruit when three juveniles were identified and detained in connection with the case.
During interrogation, the minors reportedly confessed to their involvement, stating they targeted Amit Kumar with the intent of snatching his phone. When he resisted, they allegedly used a dagger to stab him before fleeing the scene. Their motive, according to police sources, was to fund a lavish lifestyle they could not otherwise afford.
Based on their confession, police recovered the weapon of offence—a dagger—along with the victim’s wallet and ID card.
The incident has sent shockwaves across the national capital, raising serious concerns over juvenile crime and the ease with which minors are reportedly lured into criminal activities for quick gains.
