Udupi: Bomb threat email at private school sparks panic, declared a hoax

Udupi, June 16: An email threatening a bomb at a private school in Udupi was received on the morning of June 16. Following the alert, Udupi Town police immediately secured the entire school premises and launched a thorough investigation.

The anti-sabotage team, bomb disposal squad, and dog squad carried out an extensive search operation across the campus. After a detailed inspection, no explosive materials were found.

Authorities have confirmed that the threat was fake. After ensuring the safety of the premises, the school was handed back to the management.

Police have assured that appropriate legal action will be taken against those responsible for the false threat.
