Udupi, Jan 27: In what appeared to be a gruesome case of murder, the body of a woman without its skull was found to have been abandoned by her killers amongst thick bushes in a forest area in Mugilakadu which falls within the MNC project area near Padubidri, on Thursday January 26. The body, cut into three pieces, was found to have been packed in plastic bag at two different places.

After a call was received by Padubidri police about foul odour emanating from the forest region near the town on Thursday evening, the police rushed to the spot and located the origin of the stench.

The police believe that the body was left here by the murderers of the woman about four to five days back. The torso of the woman, with the abdomen and chest, was found to have been packed in plastic and thrown at a spot in the forest. Her hands were found to have been tied behind her back with the help of her black bra. The woman’s nails bore red nail polish.

The police, who went scouting for other parts of her body, found the lower part of the body packed in plastic bag, some distance away from the above spot. Both her legs were found to have been tied together with the help of her skirt. Neck, face, and head of the body have not been found.

Kaup circle inspector of police, Cheluvaraju, visited the spot and guided investigation. Parts of the body were dispatched for forensic tests. Although sniffer dog was summoned from Udupi, it could not give any leads about the killers. The police have begun investigation to identify the woman and then follow the available clues to nail her murderers.

What a gruesome murder! It is lack of understanding, compassion and tolerance. Mutual non-respect,jealousy and violation of human dignity must be be condemned. People should be properly educated and love and affection shold be sowed. Dharma shouldbe established in society by elders. May God direct all of us ia righteous path.

Let us speak of human values, respect and concern for individuals, so that our children develop an attitude of treating a fellow being with respect and concern.

Slaughtering humans this way is barbaric - not a sign of development.

The murderers will be arrested but within 6 months they will be out on bail and within 2-3 years they will be evicted. This is our great judicial system!
